Al-Malik Khoja

An economist by qualification, Al-Malik Khoja has diverse experience in the commercial and development sector. He has held leadership positions in various institutions and now advises on building organizations. He has developed appreciation of the need to develop business models that address the social dimensions but with emphasis on long-term sustainability.

Ayesha Khan

Ayesha has over 25 years’ experience as a gender and development researcher. Her expertise lies in research design and qualitative methodologies, literature reviews and policy analyses – being skilled at translating research findings into outputs for advocacy purpose and policy impact. Ayesha has a PhD in Development Studies, and is author of The Women’s Movement in Pakistan: Activism, Islam and Democracy (2018). Before joining Overseas Development Institute, Ayesha worked in Karachi, Pakistan leading innovative field-based research and policy analysis at the Collective for Social Science Research for over 20 years. Ayesha has led work on research to measure the socio-economic impact of unsafe abortion-related morbidity and mortality funded by the Packard Foundation. She received MacArthur Foundation support to lead an oral history project on the impact of conflict on women.

Shama Mohammed

Shama Mohammed began working in the development sector in 2000 and has worked in the fields of health, education, gender, community development, early child development, and microfinance.  She specializes in public health research. She has worked with a variety of organizations including Interactive Research and Development (IRD), the Indus Hospital, Aga Khan University (AKU), Aahung, and the Stop TB Partnership. She holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley College and a Masters in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University. Shama loves to crochet and runs a small business that sells handmade crochet toys. Shama has previously served four terms on the Board.

Fatima Haider

Fatima Haider is a practicing therapist, having completed her advanced diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling from CPPD. Prior to her counselling career, Fatima was actively involved in the development sector. She worked at Aahung from 2003-2011 performing various functions and serving as a senior member of the organisational management team. Her areas of interest include research, M&E, strategy planning and organisational effectiveness. She is currently serving on the board of APWA-RLCC.

Salima Hemani

Salima is General Manager Sustainability at Engro Corporation and has vast experience in Finance, Strategy, and Sustainability. She is passionate about supporting communities and women and is actively engaged in the development space.

Zenab Tariq

Zenab has had a number of years of experience in the development sector, and specifically within education. She is currently the Chief Academic Officer at an ed-tech company, ALT Academy. She has both engaged in program design and implementation at Interactive Reasearch and Development (IRD) and the Malala Fund, as well as, engaged in research and evaluation design.

Zaid bin Rashid

Zaid is currently the Head of Corporate Development at neem.pro,  which offers tech-enabled fulfilment services to businesses. He has previously served as the Director on the Board of Aman Healthcare Services. He has experience in the development sector, and has always demonstrated a problem-solving approach – which is why it comes as no surprise that he made it to senior roles in a short span of time. His core competencies are in the domains of project management, business development, communications, and strategy.

Seema Jaffer

Seema Jaffer is a communications specialist with an emphasis on social impact communication. She is currently the CEO of Bond Advertising and Digital as well as Executive Director and Senior Key Expert Human Rights and Communications for the European Union funded Huqooq e Pakistan Project. Seema is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture. She is also a Board Member of Circle, an organisation dedicated to advancing women’s economic participation and empowerment. She has previously served as a Member of the Governing Board, APWA RLCC, as well as part of the Organizing Committee of Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AdAsia) Lahore 2019. Seema is a Trustee Karachi Biennale Trust.
